What are some of your christmas wishes/wants?

I would love an external hard drive, a new CD case just for the disks themselves, a nice dog bed for Ditra, and some gift certificates to places like Bath and Bodyworks, best Buy, Starbucks, and windows of Light; Angels forever, (a New age store here in town). Oh, and some gourmet chocolate would be nice too.

Post 7 by margorp (I've got the gold prolific poster award, now is there a gold cup for me?) on Monday, 01-Dec-2008 22:08:20

I don't want material things; I never do.
I want to be one of those volunteers holding the bucket and ringing the bell at the salvation army. I want to give to others this year...can't explain it but this time of year isn't that good for me so I have this need to give to people.

Post 8 by tear drop (No longer looking for a prince, merely a pauper with potential!!!!!) on Tuesday, 02-Dec-2008 7:35:36

That's a given, or at least, it should be.

Post 9 by motifated (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 02-Dec-2008 8:35:27

This is a hard question, because in many cases, I'd rather get it myself. I'm not a killjoy at Christmas, in fact, the albums come out once or twice a year. I also enjoy giving.

It should be...but look around...people don't get it.
I think people tend to focus way to much on material things. Now, of course, it's nice to get stuff but at the end of the day, that won't make you happy.

No kidding.

As for me ... I think I'm probably the only teenager in the world who only wants a pair of headphones for Christmas, and that only because my old set is going kaputt. ;)

I don't like Christmas presents. I do Christmas hugs or thank-yous or whatever - stuff that I don't have to pay for and that actually means something.

now that i've put what I want for christmas, my wish is that my cat is happy and well cared for, and that others who have nobody to spend christmas with are invited in somewhere.

I used to work in a group home for retarded adults. The most fun Holidays I can remember were when I either went there, or had the guys over to our house. Another fun Holiday (at least for me) was when I had a friend hospitalized for major surgery. He was a musician, and it turned out there was a piano in the waiting room on his ward. He couldn't play by ear, but I could. We played and sang for about two hours late on Christmas day, and patients and their children came in. It was totally spontaneous on all our parts, and we had a blast!

Well lou, I'll bet it was great to think of all the people you touched with the music.
Chicken scratch, I agree with you about the hugs and such.
